After some chasing by the Walton on Trent Parish Council the stream by the side of the entrance to the footpath just before the Bailey Bridge (Staffs side) has been cleaned out.
Hopefully, now that all the rubbish left by indiscriminate fly-tippers has been removed, it will allow the water to flow into the river reducing the amount of flooding.

Mobile Library - Walton on Trent
The Mobile Library is resuming full service and will be in Walton on Trent every 4-weeks starting from the 13th October 2021.
The next 3 dates are: 13th October 2021 - 10th November 2021 - 8th December 2021
Bells End Road - 10:30 to 10:55hrs
The Swan - 11:00 to 11:25hrs

A road closure will be in place on Coton Road, Walton on Trent from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Wednesday 29 September 2021.
A diversion will be in place.

Roadworks are planned for Station Lane, Barton (Staffordshire side of the Bailey Bridge) on Tuesday 31st August 2021.
The roadworks will have a 2-way traffic light system in operation.
Delays are to be expected during the day.
