World War 1 Commemoration at the Village Hall

World War 1 Commemoration at the Village Hall

On Remembrance day, the Village Hall Committee's recognition event of the one hundredth anniversary of the end of World War 1 had a great turn out. Mobile Post Office Van

Mobile Post Office Van

The Parish Council are pleased to announce that there will be a mobile post office van offering post office services on a weekly basis in Walton.

This will be located on the corner of Bells End Road and Harbin Road (opposite the bungalows) every Tuesday afternoon from 3/3.15pm - 4pm.

Please make use of this valuable service that has been provided to the local community

Burglaries in the village

Burglaries in the village

There have been a number of burglaries and vehicle thefts in the village over the last few weeks.

The Parish Council understands that some quad bikes and a Landrover were taken from a local farm and a car was also stolen from the centre of the village.

Heavy Goods Vehicles in the village

Heavy Goods Vehicles in the village

We have received a number of complaints about errant HGV's being seen around the village. The village is covered by an area-wide 7.5-tonne Environmental Weight Restriction – bounded by the A38 to the west, A444 to the east and the rail bridge on Rosliston Road to the north.
