South Derbyshire District Council is one of two in the UK to offer recycling for used coffee pods in a new partnership with Podback.
Podback is a consortium of the leading coffee pod manufacturers.
Households will be able to sign up to recycle their used plastic and aluminium coffee pods in separate bags weekly alongside their brown and black bin collections.

On Social media this weekend there were questions on textile recycling please see a response received this morning to my question which you may wish to publish.
The kerbside collection of textiles is still currently suspended, the recycling contractor is currently struggling to find an outlet for the material. SDDC will be pursuing this with them as restrictions reduce and things return to some normality.... Read More »

The latest figures show a further reduction in the number of COVID-19 cases in South Derbyshire.
