The latest figures show a further reduction in the number of COVID-19 cases in South Derbyshire.

There were 157 cases of COVID-19 confirmed between 27 February and 5 March compared to 168 cases in the previous week (20 to 26 February).

MORE COMMUNITY TESTING CENTRES TO OPEN

All district and boroughs in Derbyshire are to get a community testing centre to help reduce the number of coronavirus cases in the county.

Derbyshire County Council will open new centres in Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire this week, and High Peak next week. Centres for Derbyshire Dales and Erewash are planned to open by the end of February.

Travel restrictions

New travel restrictions come into force on Monday 15 February. If you arrive in England from 15 February, you will need to either:

  • Self-isolate in the place they're staying for 10 days, or
  • Quarantine in a government approved hotel for 10 days
