Information from the organisers of the Bearded Theory Event - This year, in order to alleviate extra congestion caused by the Chetwynd Bridge width restriction, we are opening the festival to a limited number of customers a day earlier on Wednesday 22nd May, with the rest of the public arriving on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th May.

Caravans can no longer use Chetwynd Bridge, so some will need to arrive...

River Mease Improvement Project

The River Mease enters the Trent adjacent to the confluence with the Tame,the Anker runs into the Tame in Tamworth and the Dove also enters the Trent in the same area making the stretch between Alrewas and Walton on Trent, including Croxall and Catton, highly prone to flooding and sudden road closures.

Bearded Theory 2024 - TICKETS

The event organisers of the Bearded Theory Event 2024, have provided 100 Day Tickets for residents of Walton on Trent.

The tickets which comprise 20 each for Friday and Saturday and a further 60 for the Sunday will be available, on a first come first served basis from the Village Hall at 9.00am on Saturday 18 May 2024.

To ensure more persons can enjoy the event, the tickets will be limited to 2 per person...

Defibrillator - OUT OF USE

Defibrillator - OUT OF USE

As a result of the defibrillator, stored in the telephone box opposite the Swan, having to be used for a medical emergency within the village, it is currently out of use.

The post will be updated once replacement parts are obtained and the defibrillator is back in use.

The nearest defibrillator is now at the school.
